The Riders Jacket, or RJ-1 for short, was one of the first jackets we ever designed. It is a unique mix of a classic ranch jacket combined with a riding jacket. The front pleats expand with movement along with the shoulder gussets in the back. Construction highlights include 1/8” stitch details and custom metal hardware made exclusively for Freenote Cloth. The RJ-1 is equipped with our signature action back for added mobility. Hidden elastic bands in the interior of the jacket help keep the shoulder gussets in place and allow for ease of movement in this heavy piece. In addition, the sleeves are lined with a cotton/rayon blend to make the jacket easier to put on and take off.
They built this jacket for the long haul using the most resilient materials and durable construction methods. With each wear, it will get more comfortable as it molds to your body, creating a custom fit. It will develop a unique patina as the wax is displaced in high wear areas, a sartorial chronicle of the adventures you’ll have in it.
