Created in the 1950s, the iconic shape includes extra room in the forefoot and instep for a versatile fit

Oil rig workers, known as roughnecks, needed tough, rugged boots to help keep them safe on the job. The men's Roughneck brings this iconic Red Wing style up to date with rich Black Oil Slick leather, an aggressive Vibram® lug outsole to grip any surface, and Puritan triple-stitch construction with a Goodyear leather welt for long-lasting, resoleable wear.

USA-Made Leather

Every pair of Red Wing Heritage footwear is crafted with S.B. Foot Tanning Company leather. Our product team works closely with S.B. Foot employees to create and test different colorways and textures. The natural by-product from the food industry, the leather is crafted with over a century of knowledge to make a premium, longstanding product that ages with grace.
